Information & advice

Safer Homes Week, a programme of information, advice and activities covering four key areas of safety took place during October 22 -26.

The four key areas of safety this project concentrates on are:

• gas safety
• home security
• energy efficiency
• accidents and hazards

The week was held by us in association with National Grid.

Age Concern offices worked in partnership with local organisations to host events and activities to promote awareness of, and practical assistance with key safety issues in the home. 

31 Age Concerns were involved in this exciting new initiative in the following regions:

• North West
• East
• East Midlands
• West Midlands
• North London
