| I went to Greenbank Primary School on The Wirral. There was a field full of bramble bushes opposite the prefab buildings which the nine and ten year olds used to play in. We made dens in the bushes and we brought old net curtains, cuts of carpet and anything else we could find for our dens. Every play time we would rush out of class and guard our dens so that no-one else would get anything from them. We also played marbles, skipping ropes, and bounced two ball against the wall - if we where very clever three balls. One of the songs we sung when skipping was "All in together girls, never mind the weather girls, when I call your birthday please jump out" and when the month of our birthday was called we jumped out of the rope.
