This is my  first School photograph taken in 1960 at the age of 5 years, at the Reginald Mitchell county Primary School, Butt Lane, Stoke-on-Trent, Reginald Mitchell was the Man that designed the Spitfire aircraft. Reginald Mitchell who designed the spitfire was born only 50 yards from the school in a place called Buttlane.

Mitchell, Reginald Joseph was born in 1895 at Talke in Stoke-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, England. He was famous as a British aircraft designer and the developer of the Spitfire, one of the best-known fighters in World War II.
