The Time Capsule - 1960s

Last Cream Concert 1969

I remember very well going to the last Cream concert which was held in Hyde Park-My then girl friend and I were huge Cream fans-I still like Clapton’s music. The concert was packed for that last gig and they played their old favourites. Richi Havens was guesting with them and someone stole his drummer’s hat. A member of Cream - can’t remember whether it was Eric, Jack Bruce or Ginger Baker-came onto stage before the second part of the concert and said if the hat is not returned we will not play the second half. Hat returned and the second half of the gig went on- memorable concert.

Story Location: Hyde Park, London
