The Time Capsule - 1950s

Once upon a time 1950

This is the story of my grand father.

When he was 10, he had been sent in the countryside of France to work in a farm. Both his brother and sister were sent to the social service hall till they reached the age of 10 before they could go and work.

In the farm, my grandfather was far from his relatives and missed them a lot. The owner 's wife was a very kind person. And one day she went to town with my grandfather to visit his brother and his sister. The lady was so moved to see the three children together that she decided to adopt the two younger. That is why all my family is now settled in a very small little village in France and how my grandfather married the lady's daughter.

This little story can seem to be a little bit simplitic, but it is how my grandmother told it to me when my grandfather died.
I found it so wonderful in those times of war, that I decided to share it with you.
