The Time Capsule - 1930s

Coronation May 12th 1937

I was born a twin on May 12th 1937 the day of the Coronation of King George V1 and Qeen Elizabeth the late Qeen Mother.

My twin sister & I were born at the Park Hospital, Daveyhulme, Manchester.

I believe there were only 3 sets of twins born on the day of the Coronation, and we were awarded a set of silver spoon and pusher each, in a beautiful blue silk lined case.

I am now a widow of 67 years of age, and my dear twin sister Eileen passed away two years ago, after a long illness. I was so sad when the Queen Mother passed away, as it reminded me of the day I was born on May 12th 1937.
