Mother and father's wedding in 1927.
The bride's father thought he would be unable to attend the wedding as he was unemployed and did not possess a good suit. Father had just £5.00 left and he gave this money to his father in law to be to buy a suit, knowing full well that he would not get the money back from someone who had no job. As thanks, the bride’s father, who had been a commercial artist, painted two water colour pictures which he gave in return. Mother chose not to wear the usual white dress but was very proud of the silver fox fur she wore.
