Stamped out? - our campaign

Stamped Out? is Age Concern’s campaign to ensure that all older people have access to post office services.

Rural post officeInitially the campaign fought to retain the rural subsidy. It then moved on to ensure the voices of older people were heard in the Government’s consultation about the future of the post office network - read our response.

The Business & Enterprise Committee of the House of Commons launched a Post Office web forum on the 27 January for the public to submit their views on the future of the post office network. The forum will be available for six weeks. Through the forum the Committee wants to find out from individuals:

  • how the Post Office network is important to them;
  • what services the public should be able to access through the Post Office network‚ regardless of whether they are profitable;
  • and what new services - public or private - could help to secure the network.

The results will feed into the Committee's inquiry: 'Post Offices: Securing their Future'.
