Looking for work after 50

We believe strongly in the importance of looking not just at numbers but at the people behind them.

This research aimed to do just that – to find out more about the views‚ experiences‚ hopes and fears of men and women in their 50s and 60s looking for work.

We wanted to find out about barriers they faced‚ and things that have helped to overcome them. We also wanted to find out their opinions on key specific issues such as how older job seekers could be better supported.

This report sets out the research findings and our recommendations to policy makers and service providers.
