The long-awaited new James Bond movie will premiere in London tonight‚ with the Queen due to be among those watching actor Daniel Craig make his debut as the suave secret agent.
Craig‚ 38‚ will no doubt be hoping to live up to the reputation of former stars such as Sean Connery who have previously appeared as 007 on her majesty's secret service.
Some critics have suggested that the blonde‚ blue-eyed star doesn't quite fit Bond's traditional dark and brooding image‚ as based on the character from Ian Fleming's iconic novels.
But Craig has clearly won the support of his leading lady‚ Caterina Murino‚ the latest Bond girl to hit cinema screens.
Speaking during the summer‚ the actress‚ who plays Bond's love interest in the film‚ said her co-star was "giving to this James Bond something else we never saw before".
"When he's going to kill someone‚ he looks like a real killer‚ when he kisses me‚ when he makes love‚ he's so sexy‚" Murino was quoted as saying.
"You never saw a James Bond like this‚" she added.
Casino Royale‚ which will be on general UK release later this week‚ will premiere in Leicester Square tonight.
The film‚ based on Fleming's first Bond novel of the same name‚ sees 007 pitched against terrorist banker Le Chiffre in a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Royale.
