This Information Sheet provides information for older lesbians, gay men and bisexuals and those planning for later life, as well as people who wish to offer support.

It covers a range of social and financial issues affecting older lesbians, gay men and bisexuals, some of which are now addressed by the Civil Partnership legislation that came into force on December 5th 2005.

In addition, the Information Sheet lists contact organisations for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals who are also members of other minority communities.

Much of the information relating to law contained in this Information Sheet has been provided by Stonewall, the national organisation that campaigns for legal equality and social justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals.
