Here is a brief outline of the cover options available:

Buildings insurance

• This cover protects your home‚ its fixtures and fittings‚ its garages and out buildings.
• Accidental damage cover can be included for an extra cost.
• Your policy will automatically cover your property up to £400‚000 for rebuilding costs. (If you think the cost to rebuild your property is greater than £400‚000 we can provide a special quote.)

Contents insurance

• This cover protects your household goods‚ valuables‚ money‚ credit cards and personal belongings in your home and garden.
• You can insure from £7‚500 to £100‚000 worth of contents†. Your contents maximum claim limit should be enough to replace all the contents of your home with new items of the same quality and type.

Personal legal protection

• Provides up to £50‚000 to pursue or defend legal disputes. You can add this to your policy for a small extra cost.

Personal belongings away from the home

• You can add this to your Contents cover.
• It provides wider cover for your personal property anywhere in the world‚ as well as in the home.

You can add some or all of the following additional items:

• Unspecified personal belongings for items with an individual value of up to £2‚000††.
• Personal money (up to £500) and credit cards (up to £1‚000).
• Pedal cycles and mobile phones.
• Specified items worth over £2‚000 e.g. Electric mobility scooters.

Excess

You pay the first part of each claim for loss or damage. Unlike most policies‚ this is just £25 for each section being claimed under apart from:

• £1‚000 for subsidence‚ ground heave or landslip under the Buildings section (£100 for property under 10 years old).
• £50 for a touring caravan.

Eligibility

You can take out Age Concern Home Insurance providing your home is within the UK‚ including the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands‚ and has a rebuilding cost of no more than £500‚000.

† Your contents sum insured must represent the full cost of replacing all your possessions at today’s prices.

†† £1000 limit applies where only £1000 cover limit is selected.
