This factsheet looks at the range of services available through NHS Direct, your local pharmacy and GP practice as well as ways in which you can have greater choice and involvement in your treatment and care.

Help that may be available towards travel costs to receive NHS services and towards cost of services for which a charge is made, such as NHS dental treatment, is also outlined.
