Netiquette

There are certain rules - known as ‘netiquette’ - that are used on chat sites to ensure chatters understand one another without risk of confusion‚ and to establish basic good conduct.

Before you start chatting make sure you are aware of the protocols.

Here are a few pointers:

  • be polite and welcoming to other chatters
  • don't use bad language
  • don't use CAPITAL LETTERS which can indicate that you are shouting or angry. 
  • address the person you are talking to
