How we can help you claim benefits

Age Concern leads the way with excellent benefits advice. Every year, teams of dedicated volunteers and trained welfare benefits advisors help transform older people’s lives by getting them their entitlements and sometimes hundreds of pounds in back paid benefits.

Your local Age Concern can give you a free benefits check or they can put you in touch with someone else who can.

A friendly and understanding adviser will explain things clearly and simply. They can help you fill in your claim forms and may be able to visit you at home to do so. This is a good option if you find it difficult to leave the house or don't like talking on the telephone.

In some cases, pensioners have doubled their income simply by claiming what they’re owed with our help. And remember, benefits are revised every financial year so if you haven’t been able to claim money in the past, you might be able to claim it now.
