AIMS Training

NB: At present AIMS are being redeveloped to form part of a flagship Information & Advice service for the newly merged Age Concern and Help the Aged charity.

Tailor-made training at your fingertips

We provide training workshops for housing management staff. Whether you work in private retirement or sheltered housing‚ rented or leasehold‚ our training can help you understand:

  • conflict and disputes‚
  • relevant new legislation
  • many of the issues and problems that arise in the course of your day-to-day work.

Cost of training

One training workshop* per year is provided free of charge to organisations that subscribe to AIMS. Additional training sessions are available at a reduced rate of £400 + VAT.

Fee to non-subscribers is £600 + VAT per training workshop*.

* Workshops consist of a range of modules and can last from an afternoon/morning to up to a day‚ depending on your needs‚ number of staff‚ room availability‚ etc.

Where applicable‚ the following additional charges will apply:

Travel and subsistence

Minimum charge £25 + VAT per AIMS staff member. Any overnight stay/subsistence will be charged at cost‚ as applicable‚ and agreed in advance as far as possible.

Venue and equipment

If the venue is not provided‚ costs will be charged‚ as applicable‚ and agreed in advance as far as possible. AIMS also requires the use of a laptop/projector and flipchart on the day. Whilst it may be possible for AIMS to provide this equipment‚ any courier costs will be charged.

Cancellations and Postponements

AIMS requires at least 5 working days notice of cancellation or postponement of training sessions. Cancellations and postponements with fewer than 5 working days notice will attract a £75 cancellation charge. Travel and any other expenses already incurred will also be charged.
