Creating a new charity for older people

Age Concern England and Help the Aged are planning to create a new charity that will bring our two organisations together.

We hope you will be as excited as we are about the new charity we want to build. We believe it will combine our strengths and deliver even more for older people. It will enable us to provide high quality services‚ effect change and champion the needs of older people.

Local Age Concerns and Help the Aged in Scotland‚ Wales and Northern Ireland will also be coming together to create a new charity in each of their nations.

We hope to get the new charity off the ground in Spring 2009. Before then we are not planning any dramatic changes and we will continue our current work over the coming year.

We hope you will continue to support our work and be part of a great opportunity to enrich the lives of vulnerable older people.
