Age Concern Enterprises

In short, Age Concern Enterprises Ltd is the ‘trading arm’ of the charity Age Concern.  But what do we trade in and when did we begin?

Our history

During the 1980s, Age Concern was approached by older people concerned about unsuitable and expensive insurance cover for their home and its contents.  We responded by introducing a scheme designed to address this issue, and Age Concern Insurance Services was launched in 1983.

And our work has not stopped there: since our early days, we have expanded into a successful company, and, in direct response to the needs of older people, we have developed the following products and services:

Where do our profits go?

Our products and services are not only created specifically with the needs of older people in mind, but the profits we raise though trading go straight back to funding the work of the charity: such as campaigning and developing policy, nationally, and towards day care centres, luncheon clubs, and advice and information centres in your local area.

Our aim is to help older people where it's needed most - in the home, out and about, and with the knowledge that financial arrangements are properly in place.
