Age Concern Parliamentary Summer Reception 2008

The Parliamentary Summer Reception took place on the 16th July at the House of Commons. The focus of this year’s reception was social care and The Big Q, our new campaign, which has been launched around this issue. The reception also provided an opportunity for MPs and organisations to hear about the work Age Concern carries out across the UK.

Ivan Lewis MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Department of Health, spoke about the importance of the social care system in the UK. Alan Johnson MP, Secretary of State for Health, and Chris Grayling MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, were also in attendance
