The impact of pension credit on those receiving it (07.04)

Nine out of ten pensioners receiving Pension Credit believe the Government should provide a higher Basic State Pension without the need for means-tested benefits‚ according to a new report by Age Concern. And 73% of those surveyed felt that means-testing puts people off applying for Pension Credit.

Our research is the first to examine the attitudes and experiences of recipients of the new benefit since its launch in October 2003.
