The social networking website Facebook has enjoyed meteoric growth in recent years. There are now around 8.5 million people in the UK alone using the site to share personal information and keep in touch with friends.

If you are one of these 8.5 million people or are thinking of joining them in the near future, you can use Facebook to support Age Concern by adding the Age Concern woolly scarf to your profile!

All you need to do is to log on to Facebook, go to the Donate to Age Concern page, and follow the instructions on how to add the Age Concern woolly scarf. You will choose how much money you would like to donate to Age Concern, and select Facebook friends you would like to tell about the Age Concern scarf to encourage them to donate too. The minimum donation amount is £1.50 but you can donate as much as you like.

Once you have donated, the scarf icon will appear on your Facebook profile for a month. After that time, you will have to donate to Age Concern again for the scarf to reappear.
