Age Concerns organised 31 consultation events with a total of over 500 older people. In addition over 1‚300 older people returned the questionnaire. To find out about older people's views of rural post offices please download our report below.

Some Age Concerns have campaigned to keep their local post offices. One Age Concern‚ along with other groups in their community‚ organised a protest walk from a post office threatened with closure to the alternative office to demonstrate how difficult accessing this alternative would be. Their campaign was successful and their post office stayed open.
