This campaign is about tackling pensioner poverty and supporting the independence and dignity of older people. Contact with information and advice was very important to the older people in our survey.

They were better able to pay their way and continue to live in their own homes. They felt they had someone on their side to help them. It is important that in the future older people should be able to get the support they need.

There are two ways in which you can help us:

Write to your MP

If we are to be successful in ensuring that older people do not lose the services they need‚ we have to make sure that MPs know this is an issue that their constituents care about. You can help us by writing to your MP.

We have set up a template letter so you can email your MP now.

If you have had personal experiences of the difference having extra money has made to you‚ your relatives or friends or any experience of claiming benefits‚ please remember to include this in the letter.
