Women and pensions survey

Counting the cost of caring

We carried out a survey to find out more about the impact of caring on pensions.

This has now been recognised as an important issue and the Pensions Bill‚ published in November 2006‚ introduced significant changes to the state system which will improve the position for many women retiring in the future.

The survey was aimed at women because they continue to be the main carers but the issues are similiar for male carers.
