Capacity policy

Individuals should have equal rights to choice and consultation on all issues that affect their lives. Where people have difficulty in making decisions they should be supported to help them make their own decisions, and for those who lack capacity there should be protections built in to safeguard them against abuse.

To find out about our policy position on capacity and consent, please download the policy position paper on the top right hand side of this page.
