Championing Age Equality: the Commission for Equality and Human Rights and age discrimination legislation

Age Concern’s vision of society is one in which people of all ages have equal access to the opportunities that change their lives. A society where the contributions older people make to the economy‚ the community and to social and family life are recognised and valued.

A society where‚ above all‚ older people are seen as individuals‚ with hugely varying identities‚ aspirations and needs‚ and not as members of a uniform‚ stereotyped and marginalised generation.
