Our policy position

We believe older people should live in housing that meets their needs and in which they can enjoy dignity and independence as valued citizens. Older people should benefit from quality housing support‚ housing advice and a range of housing options appropriate to their circumstances.

Our policy work will be focusing on:

  • adaptations‚
  • handyperson services‚
  • Supporting People‚
  • decent homes (especially in the private sector)
  • housing choice for older people.

We are represented on the Government’s advisory body‚ the Housing for Older People Development Group (HOPDEV).
